One of the excellent features of clever information research (IDA) is that it's an interdisciplinary ?eld within which researchers and practitioners from a few parts are fascinated with a regular undertaking. This additionally creates a problem during which the good fortune of a staff depends upon the participation of clients and area specialists who have to engage with researchers and builders of any IDA method. All this is often often re?ected in profitable tasks and naturally at the papers that have been evaluated via this year’s software committee from which the ?nal application has been built. In our demand papers, we solicited papers on (i) functions and instruments, (ii) concept and common ideas, and (iii) algorithms and methods. We acquired a complete of 184 papers, reviewing those used to be a big problem. each one paper used to be assigned to 3 reviewers. finally forty six papers have been approved, that are all integrated within the court cases and awarded on the convention. This year’s papers re?ect the result of utilized and theoretical researchfrom a couple of disciplines all of that are on the topic of the ?eld of clever facts research. To have the easiest blend of theoretical and utilized learn and likewise give you the most sensible concentration, we've divided this year’s IDA application into tu- rials, invited talks, panel discussions and technical sessions.

This booklet constitutes the refereed court cases of the 1st overseas convention on Integration of AI and OR strategies in Constraint Programming for Combinatorial Optimization difficulties, CPAIOR 2004, held in great, France in April 2004. The 23 revised complete papers and seven revised brief papers provided including an invited speak have been conscientiously reviewed and chosen from fifty six submissions.
This e-book constitutes the refereed post-conference court cases of the second one overseas Algorithmic quantity concept Symposium, ANTS-II, held in Talence, France in may perhaps 1996. The 35 revised complete papers incorporated within the booklet have been chosen from various submissions. They hide a large spectrum of themes and document state of the art learn leads to computational quantity conception and complexity conception.

This fact is known as the class imbalance problem and occurs whenever examples of one class heavily outnumber examples of the other class1 . Generally, the minority class represents a circumscribed concept, while the other class represents the counterpart of that concept. Several studies have pointed out that domains with a high class imbalance might cause a significant bottleneck in the performance achieved by standard ML systems. Even though class imbalance is a problem of great importance in ML, a complete understanding of how this problem affects the performance of learning systems is not clear yet.
